cessor and the main memory. Located away from the CPU, the L3 cache is
slower than the L1 & L2 caches. This setting allows you to turn on or off the L3
cache. Setting options: Enabled, Disabled.
Fast Boot
The setting allows the system to boot within 10 seconds, which is compliant
with PC2001 spec. Fast Boot saves more boot time than Quick Boot by skip-
ping more check items and not displaying standard summary table on the
screen. With this field enabled, system BIOS will automatically set Quick Boot
to Enabled at the same time. Setting options: Enabled, Disabled.
1st/2nd/3rd Boot Device
The items allow you to set the sequence of boot devices where BIOS attempts
to load the disk operating system. The settings are:
Floppy The system will boot from floppy drive.
LS120 The system will boot from LS-120 drive.
HDD-0 The system will boot from the first HDD.
SCSI The system will boot from the SCSI.
CDROM The system will boot from the CD-ROM.
HDD-1 The system will boot from the second HDD.
HDD-2 The system will boot from the third HDD.
HDD-3 The system will boot from the fourth HDD.
ZIP The system will boot from ATAPI ZIP drive.
USB-FDD The system will boot from the floppy drive at USB ports.
USB-ZIP The system will boot from the ZIP drive at USB ports.
USB-CDROM The system will boot from the CD-ROM at USB ports.
USB-HDD The system will boot from the HDD at USB ports.
LAN The system will boot from the Network drive.
Disabled Disable this sequence.
Boot Other Device
Setting the option to Enabled allows the system to try to boot from other
device if the system fails to boot from the 1st/2nd/3rd boot device.
Swap Floppy
Setting to Enabled will swap floppy drives A: and B:.
Seek Floppy
Setting to Enabled will make BIOS seek floppy drive A: before booting the
