FORTIS 2.4.1 SERVICE PACK 3 (04/2009)
Westbrook Technologies Fortis 2.4.1 Service Pack 3 includes quality improvements and
new features that enhance reliability, security and performance. It is recommended that
all customers upgrade to Fortis 2.4.1 Service Pack 3 to take advantage of these
improvements.
IMPORTANT: Customers must upgrade to Fortis 2.4.1 before applying this service
pack update. Once Fortis 2.4.1 Service Pack 3 has been installed customers who have
not previously upgraded to Fortis 2.4.1 Service Pack 2 and run a workstation setup
must run a Workstation Setup on all Fortis workstations. It is also important for
customers who have Fortis Web or Inflo installed to refer to the Fortis Installation
Guide for further instructions on installing the service pack. Installation instructions
including information on doing a push of the Workstation Setup update via MSI can be
found in the Fortis Installation Guide.pdf document included with the release or
available for download from our
HwebsiteH.
Fortis Inflo: Stability – Resolved several issues that could cause the Fortis Inflo Server to
crash. These issues are specific to using a combination of Fortis Audit Trail and Fortis
Inflo on document types that contain at least one multi-value field. Inflo rules that
move documents after setting index data or rules that set index data on versioned
document types were particularly susceptible to this issue. (10005)
Fortis Inflo: Send email – Resolved an issue with the Inflo Server returning an error
“ERROR 554: SMTP server is not ready for data” when it attempts to execute a send
mail rule that refers to multiple email addresses contained in a multi-value field. (9833)
Index Documents: Batch Index – Resolved an issue that was causing an access violation
in msvcrt.dll during batch indexing using OCR & pick lists in combination. (10096)
Database Administration: Document Type Security – Resolved an issue that was
causing an error in UGMGR.dll when attempting to give the same user permissions to
more than 202 document types. (10033)
Fortis Web: Versioned Documents – Resolved an issue with repeated check-out and
check-in of a document that would prevent the document viewer from updating
properly. (10064)
Fortis Web: Open URL – Resolved an issue in Fortis Web Default templates that would
prevent a selected URL from changing color to indicate that it had been opened. The
DefPost templates which are more secure by design are unable to provide the
